clay bar works wonders.
I live in Oklahoma and Michigan so I know what you mean with the bugs, use a clay bar and zaino the crap out of it.
I got stuff...<br /><br /> <a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum\" target=\"_blank\">http://community.webshots.com/user/mksucum</a>

Born and raised in Houston, and currently go to Texas A&M. I feel your pain. I use the clay bar, myself, available from the zaino company.

The important thing with using the clay bar is to keep the surface of the car wet with soapy water. Normal car wash soap mixed with water makes an excellent lubricant, which allows the clay bar to pull off the crap from your car without damaging the paint. Using a clay bar on your cars paint with everything dry can damage your clear coat.

You can also use the clay bar on the ground effects, too. If your paint is chipping off, the clay bar may help in pulling paint off, but I have run my clay bar over paint chips on my hood before, and it didnt pull off any extra paint.

I also do a lot of driving between CS, houston, and san antonio, so I know how bad those damn luv bugs can be. horny little bastards, getting in everyone's way!

WD-40.

lightning bugs are cool when you hit them.
