The love bugs are getting worse and worse it seems. There are swarms that you have to walk through, they land on your car, and when you get home the front of your car is black :(

Now I'm confused..
The whole time I thought you 'crazy texans' were referring to lady bugs as being love bugs..but you are talking about lightning bugs?
PLEASE SPECIFY WHICH SPECIES OF BUG YOU ARE KILLING WITH YOUR CARS!

Luv Bugs: Also known as "Love Bugs". An annoying species of insect, approximately the size of a fly. They are black, with an orange spot on or near the head. In the late summer, they mate like rabbits, and fly around while mating. So two of them are attached to each other while flying, which compounds the problem of hitting one, because when you hit one, you also hit the bug that the first bug is screwing at the time. As a result, the number of bugs hit in any given time frame is doubled. Love bugs in heat are also attracted to the following stimuli: Light, dark, heat, cold, water, matter, energy, etc.
Ahh cool, I don't live that far from ya. I'm in the Beaumont area. Yep, I know what ya mean about the bugs...I park mine at the gas station to put 5 bucks in, and go to pay, and when I come back my car looks like a friggin' dalmation. =(
