Any ideas on how much this will cost to get fixed there is no damage to the bumper cover just cracked paint from the paint being flexed. My girl taped it with her eclipse and there’s no damage to her car!

Welcome to my world. The previous owner of my car lost control on a wet road and hit the ditch. He messed up the back bumper and the pass. door. The shop that painted them obviously didn't research too much and didn't put the flex additive in, so my bumper started chipping around the middle. Now about an inch past the license plate area is completely chipped off, as well as the sides around it. The entire bumper will probably need to be repainted to make it look anything close to original. I've been quoted 300-450$, but I found someone who used to paint cars and he said he'll do it for alittle over the cost of materials. Just have to wait for it to warm up. The shop that put the Trans Am bumper cover was kind of out dated their paint booth was pretty much a garage I highly doubt they added any flex additive to it if it cracked how it did. It only needs to be sanded and painted so I’m hopping it won’t be much to fix it, I’m planning on trading it in on a Trans Am in a few months just trying to find the right car.2000 Pontiac Firebird
