you need to rough surface for the paint to stick. just clean them good and have fun

i just did this on two cars haha.
all you need to do is get a wire brush and some "brakeleen" stuff at pepboys in a green can, its like two bucks. then use that and clean off the calipers to get all the break dust and whatnot so the paint can stick really good. then use about 3 or so coats of the black, and then 2 or so paints of clear, and youre set. allow about 30-45 minutes inbetween coats. good luck.Dave:

I'm thinking about doing this too, but I don't want to have my car jacked up and undrivable cuz I have to drive everyday to work and school. Does anyone know how much a spare set of calipers would run me new? That way I could take my time and make em look real good.2002 Black Firebird:
A4, Y87, W68, T-tops
Best NA ET: 15.16 @ 90
http://members.cardomain.com/darksde02

I put mine in a glass bead cabinet to clean then, then just used a couple coats of paint and they turned out like this:
They get dirty fast though... with my rims, its hard to clean the brake dust off them.Sinister Six©
My \'95 Bird
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.
