painted Calipers

painted Calipers thinking about doing mine to make it a little more eye poping.
Anyone paint theres??? If so tell me about the paint you used let me know how it looks.

i haven done my yet, i am soon. they have paint out there for brake calipers at autozone, pep boys etc. if you want it to look great, wet sane the calipers before you paint them

i had the shop pain mine last year..done in red with the silver Camaro decals on the front..then clear coated over that..never had any problems with them..$200 for all 4 ..check my site for pics [img]smile.gif[/img]

200 buckaroos? i mean, i bet you got a nice job and all, but that seems like quite a bit. i just went to walmart though and got a can of high temp black, and some high temp clear. i sanded them down, taped everything off, and sprayed them.

Divide $200 by 10 and that's about what I paid for 4 wheels including dremel accessories for sanding and paint. Red enamel came from Wal-Mart Firebird decals were probably another $15. Pics in sig.

I did mine black with brushed alluminum letters.

They don't come glossy black.

I used sanding paper for metal. I have heard of people using a dremel. It might be less work that way.

I stepped up the grit to about 1500 to get a smooth almost polished look before I painted.
