http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/550453/5
My new section of my cardomain sight, the drawing board!!!

i think its a cool idea anyways... but for those of you too lazy to click the link... heres what im thinkin'

I dont like the look of that nasty faded lens and since ive got this chrome thing goin on, I think it would be cool to maybe get another set of stock fog light housings and replace the drl one with it, then use an orange bulb as usual but have that clear lens and reflective backing, making it look more like this, which looks a billion times better IMO...

all the small things... (and no i do not link blink182 lol)

maybe white lights would look cool in there... i wonder if i could just wire up a hyperwhite bulb and have it work LOL and not ruin somthing... anyways..

          smells pretty strong to me
lol... just kidding firefighter, i would take your advice but... unfortunately my parents have already made it clear that I cant do anything to the engine that voids the extended warranty (covers it till 100k miles lol) so im pretty much stuck there... thats why i did suspension (since that didnt void anything) and appearance stuff...

my car has basically all the suspension i want right now for corner carving... but since i dont have lots of HP i dont have any suspension to keep traction,

          anyways.. i almost did nitrous
lol but then parents found out about that and screwed me over for other stuff...

maybe one day when the original engine gets 100k and the extended warranty is up, ill upgrade to an ls1 lol.. otherwise, nothing i can really do to upgrade speed, maybe gears...

but thats besides the point, answer my question lol...

i've actually been thinking of doing the same thing. i think it would look much better than stock. I just dont know what to do for bulbs since they have to be amber because they are the front blinkers... maybe led's... i dont know.

i figure the connector looks basically the same as far as the way it plugs in, i wonder if the DRL bulb socket will snap into a fog housing...

I think you might be right. now all i have to do is find some used fog lamp housings.

I doubt that it will. I do not doubt that you could put the DRL bulb in hte foglight housing, but it will take some rigging.

I also doubt the stock foglight will fit as a DRL. And even if it did, the stock foglight housing looks crappy, and that is one of the reasons I replaced mine.

A better solution would be to look for some aftermarket fog or driving lights or even round turn signals if you can find them.

i dont think the stock fog light housings would fit where the drl housings are, i belive the drl housing is smaller. but im with you man, id love to get rid of the yellow foggy lookin drl housing and replace it with something good and clear... if you find an aftermarket foglight or somethin that would fit, do tell...

What needs to be done is to measure the diameter of the housing, then search the internet for a fog/drl light that is the same diameter.

Then either use the stock wireing and bulb, and fab it up to work with the new housing, or fab up the wiring to work with the new light.

There is a theoretical rightup in my foglight post. Somebody figured out the schematic.

What needs to be done is to put the DRL in the outer foglight position, because then they will be bigger and wider.( Big, round, and wide like the C6). Then use a foglight that is the same size as the stock DRL housing and put it there on the inside, (like the TA).

It would be a very cool looking mod, so if you guys end up getting to it before I do, you need to name it after me.
