  • Wings West commando spoiler!!!!

Hye guys! I know the commando wing by WW is made specifically for the T/A. Though I'm considering getting it later in the future. Do any of you have this on your v6 car. If so let me know if ou had to do any modification to the wing itself to get it onto the rear deck lid. Or if anyone just knows if it will fit on our cars. Thanx guys!

Hey now, I was looking at getting the commando for my car. Only thing is the camaro install looks like its unbolt wing, bolt on new wing. I have no idea what you'd have to do for the Bird.

        Don't do it.

Fad2blk went with your standard wings west lip. Looks damn good, much better then the Commando could.

what i find interesting is, generally speaker, people on forums jump to ricey conclusions much quicker than the local public. Depending on who you are trying to please, if u think the wing looks good, why do you care if someone over here doesnt? the only people you will get comments from are locals, who generally dont know the difference between camaro and firebird. So, are you trying to look cool, or keep a clean and classy look that is distinguished firebird, in otherwords, do you want to get "looks great" comments online or IRL?

I have thought that the wing was cool, i saw it in a video with a black trans am and it looked badass, it just gave the car a whole new killer look, but, from still photos and such, it does look a bit over the top, the main downside is that it stacks on the TA spoiler, which can look kinda crazy. but, whatever, u probably wont find any pictures of it on this board, too many ppl get shot down for doing crazy stuff so, your probably going to have to have someone photoshop it for you or go searching for a year to get a pic. otherwise, be the first one to get it and put it on. I would if i had a TA deck and money lol... hell, theres lots i would do to my car to make it unique. ive got ideas..lol

you and me both, i think it would obstruct your rear view mirror (i hate seeing parts of my car in the mirror).

its actually all one peice i met a guy in georgia ata car show that did it. he said its the ta spoiler and the other wing and you take off the whale tail and bolt this one in itsplace but he also said he had a problem getting shipped to him in one peice. it kept arriving broken so keep that in mind if you order one. plus you will need the trans am hatch for it to work. correct me if im wrong but this is a lot of money. you have to find a hatch plus pay 500 dollars for that spoiler then get them painted.

hope that helps since no one else seems to know

i had it a couple years ago on my v6 camaro..no mods required..it used the factory bolt holes and everything..what i didnt like (besides the look that i eventually got tired of) was that it overlaps on the sides on the back..the sides of it soft of sit on the rear fenders by the trunk..i noticed a little chipping in the paint there i had to take care of..if you get it be careful closing the trunk..it will be quite a bit heavier

what i would like to see is a factory GM tail replacement, where you remove the trans am high rise spoiler, and get another fiberglass peice that bolts to the holes. that COULD look cool i think
