Can i use any dish soap to remove wax?

Can you use any dish soap besides dawn to remove wax on a car? Iam going to be cleaning my car this weekend and waxing it and want to remove the old wax. I have ajax dish soap will that remove it?

I'd imagine any dish soap is similar so i'd say yea. But why would you want to remove all the old wax off it? In my book, the more coats of wax you have protecting your car the better right?

I want to remove the old stuff. So i can can clean the paint and get all the crap off i can then rewax it. I work as a electrician and drive my car to the job site. So its get dirty as crap. Also people say its not good to put wax on top of wax! Thats what i have heard!

about once a year at least its good to get all the wax off the car and clay the car and maybe polish it. There is nothing wrong however with putting wax on top of wax.

Once a year might be right for a reg car. But if i dont wax my car every two weeks. Sometimes a month it looks so bad. I drive a lot then working construction and driveing it in the dirty harsh conditions it gets dirty. I waxed it two weeks ago and its already showing bad water spots.

i did it to mine last weekend. Just make sure you wax it again ASAP cause it will mess up your paint, with it being so vulnerable and all.
