I have searched through the archives and was unable to see that anyone actually posted the GM part number for their "automatic" leather wrapped shift knob. I have a 2001 Camaro "automatic" and would like to replace it with the T-Style. Thank you for all of you help.

When I couldn't find the part number for the little bowtie for the front bumper, I just went to the GM/Chevy dealers' parts department, and told them what I want. They have little diagrams for every car, so you can make sure it's exactly what you want.1997 Grand Prix GTP

Thanks a lot for your help, I will just go to the dealer when I get some time. I was just curious since there was so much talk about this if anyone had this first hand info, but better to know what I am getting than assuming. This is the page out of the Firebird parts manual that I think has what you're looking for.

Edit: It looks like 12563172 is the part number for the leather wrapped 00-02 shift knob, and 12563171 is the part number for the plastic one.

12563173 (Leather) or 22680651 (Simulated Leather)
These aren't T-style shifters. I don't know if any came from the factory with T-style.

All Firebird autos came with T-style shifters. The part numbers I posted are from the Firebird parts book, but they can fit on a Camaro.Black 2002 Camaro M5-SS takeoff muffler, B&M Ripper, K&N Filter, 35/20% tint, Infinity speakers, Viper alarm, perpetually breaking clutch return spring mod. 15.49@90.15
Pewter 2002 Firebird M5 (Dad\'s Car)

Rjazrs- do you want to buy a used one in pretty good shape?
jaraya@austin.rr.com
I'm sure I can go lower then what the dealerships will want.
