• Battery cover mod.

When i saw my buddy's 98 Z had a battery with velcro all over it and asked him what it was about... and he said it was his battery cover... the wheels started turning.

By the time I was done, it didnt' look anything like a traditional battery cover, but i was happy(not much on my car is very traditional anyways). I ended up using plexi-glass and 4 'L' brackets.

Long story short here is my latest appearance mod. It got some kudos at the car show i was in on the weekend

And here's the image that I used...

That looks really cool. Is yours held on by velcro also, or are those metal clips that hold it on somehow? The cover looks great though, do you have a matching showboard with it too? That'd be kinda cool to set up a theme.

Thanks... it's held on by the clips which i attached little 2 sided sticky things

Also, i can drive with it as the hood rests ever so gently on it.

I have a show board as well... a little different that i put in a picture frame and lists my mods and has some pics and my club's logo.

Looks sweet, it's good to see someone fabricate something for there car instead of the plain old box covers.

yea it does look good, I like the white to grey gradient you used for the letters, but the lower case letters bother me. The plexi glass cover was a good idea.
