I'm having trouble with my new vinyl decals, especially the ones on the Firebird lettering on the door and the front license plate cover bird. The edges started to peel up in some places and I'm worried they might come off after a while. Any tips how to fix it? And how to keep it from happening again? I was thinking maybe a coat of clearcoat over the edges of the lettering, but I only wanna do that if I have to. I don't want to have to baby those parts when I wash everytime, especially the front with all those bugs I have to clean off!

I avoided the "decals on door letters" because I was concerend I'd have exactly the problem you are describing.
I highly recommend you buy door letters in the color you want (eg from www.gmpartsdirect.com). You could also simply remove the existing letters and repaint them yourself.I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

either paint them, OR buy another sticker and clean the area w/rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball, let it air dry, then put the new sticker, ive had my pillar birds on my car for a little over two years and they arent pealing on the edges...Black 1998 Pontiac Firebird A-4 swap
271.4rwhp/259.4rwtq NA
13.30@102.44
www.freewebs.com/wickedsix98
