not much at all, they aren't even the slightest bit blue, waste of money. I have never sold a single pair at work because they look no different, i tell people not to buy them.2005 Cavalier LS Sport M5
http://members.cardomain.com/firefighter8615

They are sealed, BUT, you can take a pair of pliers and turn the bulb out of the grey sealant on the back of the headlight housing. It is a simple procedure to remove. When I installed new 9005 and 9006 bulbs, I used high-temp copper silicone to hold them inplace of the housing. Works great!

yes they are. Easier and cheaper mod than what most will tell you on here. I installed a pair once and I was VERY impressed. Many will say do this or do that but they either cost too much, or are a pain in the a$$ a few months later. you did the right thing.

I have a 1996 so I have sealed beams. Long story short, got tired of stock bulbs so I took them out and siliconed in the Silverstars. Impressed when side-by-side with standard halogen but still wasn't putting off enough light. The Silverstars dissipitate (sp) and weren't any brighter in that they didn't put out more light.
Right now I have 80w Nokya Artic White in and they are brighter due to the higher wattage. Still dissipitate but I have adjusted the aim a bit to help.
Nothing will cure my HID obsession...I'll just have to buy a kit for myself come X-mas. :D
