  • Paint or polish?

I'm looking at painting my calipers. The bracket that holds the brakes... should I paint or polish it?

Polishing - Would look killer. High Maintenance?
Painting - Doesn't stand out as much. Low maintenance. Just point the hose and wash.

Painted calipers are easier to keep clean; however, i feel the same way you do, polished calipers would really look killer. I wonder if hitting the polished calipers and brackets up with a few coats of clear would make them easier to keep clean!

I'm betting no clear coat is strong enough to endure our brake dust. And yes, they would be a ***** to keep shiney. I'd just go with painting and a decal.

silver in color. I think if you do enough coats you could make them fairly easy to clean.
