Side vent covers on firebird

Has anybody with a pewter firebird painted the side vents? I wanted to see what that looked like.

I painted them silver. I was undecided for a few weeks, then painted them back to black. They have been black since.

I made a custom aluminum mesh to fit over that black plastic stuff... it looks f-in dope. IMO. i'll get a pic soon and post it. tell me what you think.

it would look stupid just painted it needs a different look
