I just installed some small blue LEDs underneath my speaker grills... not a wire to be seen! 5 hours of labor went into this after removing all the door panels and everything to get every wire hidden...
Looks pretty good. Does it illuminate the whole grill at all? Or do you just see a light? You know what would be awesome if it beat with the music. Now all you need is to tiewrap those wires and clean up that interior.
so go buy a music interface from street glow to have them beat to music . . . thats what i have. i have neons in my front speaker grills, back speaker grills, and map holders that all beat to music or just stay on.
Do what i did. i wired them right into the speakers so mine bounce with the music like you guys said. i got all four of mine wired and the lights coming out of the lower left corner of the speaker grill. it looks bada$$ sitting in the car when the bass hits. they flash real nice and light the car up really good. i don't buy those street glow things. waste of money. wire them right into the wires behind the speaker. it's easy. anyway i have blue neons under my seats too that i wired in but they don't beat unless i want them to. i jsut hit the switch on them and adjust the sensitivity and they will bounce too. i love lights. mine is the only car I've seen with the LED's in my speaker grill's and they are blue too. all my lights are blue. i got all my favortie colors on my car. Silver car with black stripes and blue lights. i love it.now some ground effect's and 17" Y2K rims and i'm set after this winter. i can't wait until next summer man. my car is gonna be sweet. Those pictures are pretty low quality... The lights tend to send a beam of light out across the speaker. I thought about putting some reflective material inside the grill to make it radiate across the whole thing, or add more lights to each grill.
I'd prefer not to have them beat to the music... just not my thing.
Cole, you're one of the few people I know that put lights in their speaker grills as well.
This is probably all I'll do for lights, otherwise it gets to be too much.
