  • Thinking of Racing stripes..

Im thinking of getting some racing strips, But i am totally clueless on which color to get, better yet what it looks like. I am trying to stick to a White/blue theme (expect for my calibers) And i got Royal blue 3800 tags, and Navy Metellic Inlays in the rear. So What would be the best blue to go with? I was thinking maybe a navy metallic blue, I was going to purchess them from Fourthcircledesigns....So any thoughts and suggestions would be appricated. I will try to get some pic's up after i made my decision. Thanks again.

I'm guessing your car is white? Is it a Camaro or Firebird? I think Darker Navy Blue, like the NBM (navy blue metallic) would look sweet.

Photoshop it, dark blue is the best color stripes on white cars in my opinion.

Not sure what it is, but I like the color used on the Viper GT2s...

just be sure they match your inlays, the key is sticking to two colors that work well together. too many shades of blue will start looking funny

You should match everything together. Royal Blue tags and Navy Blue inserts may not look odd now, until you lay stripes down that don't match either of them. Especially the rear inserts like Looch said! You'll start looking like an Easter Egg.

LOL guys... yeah those 2 blues you have may not match when you get your stripes. I had picked black reflective for all of my decals and charcoal for my stripes and it looks good but now I want to get different colored decals (blue maybe).

You need to match up your colors. The different shades of blue will stick out noticeably if you lay stripes. Get NBM inserts, 3800 decals, and stripes. The inserts and decals don't cost much and it will be worth it.

I can vouch for fourthcircledesigns...Shawn did my stripes.

If its a white car, orange or red stripes are sweet.

                        Here are some stripes

Or just do the SS hood scoop if you get a hood

I am guessing you are going vinyl, I did too, just to see what it would look like before painting. I tried to do a "non-traditional" color. Everyone puts black on silver. I got a sample kit from a graphics place and looked for a good color. This is Metallic Burgandy on Silver.

I would suggest seeing a graphics place, and see what colors they can do, and go from there. If you get a differant color than your badges, just see if they can make you a deal on them.
