  • Help With CD Dash Mount!!

My GF got me this CD dash mount that I wanted.

    http://maptechenterprises.netfirms.c...c0e41ec17cd5f3

And I didn't want to mess with it, so I took it to a good car stereo install place and they aid that it seems incomplete, like it should come with tabs and stuff. They had no idea how it would go in and they think they would have to fabricate it to get it in there. Basically all it came with was all one piece, the dash plate and mount. They quoted me $100-$150 to do it. I know some people here have had this CD dash on, how did you guys do it?

Ummmm, those instructions didn't help with my setup. I'm currently figuring it out right now, and have found a way to do it, but it will be a pain. It most certainly does not bolt right up.

Are you saying the mounting tabs aren't on there?

and it was a simple install. You have to take it apart and then put it all back together. You take out the four screws in the corners.

I had to do some fabbing, because I didn't realize there was a non tock cd kit already from the previous owner of the car, so things didn't bolt right up and slide right in. It worked rather well, actually.

              Pics up later tonight.
