  • SLP Grille Install

I just ordered this grille http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=50388 and want to install it when I finally get my car back from the dealer. It says to drill eight 0.25" holes in the bumper to put the mounting pins through. Any advice suggestions on what works best for drilling through the bumper cover?

Unforunatley remember, drilling is permanent. Sure its covered up, but if you plan on taking it off, your kinda screwed.

I did it to my V6 with a billet grille, and when I didnt like it anymore, I took it off, I had 4 holes. :(

Anyways, that SS grille, I thought it fits into the original holes that the original grill comes off of. And to do that, I heard you must take off the front bumper, then make sure its secure from the rear of the front bumper.

to answer the question, any drill bit will suffice, its very thin plastic like material, just drill in the correct spot the first time and you wont have any issues.

There are eight holes in the grille that you push plastic peg like screws though the holes drilled in the bumper to hook it on. I have it sitting here, and it definitely doesn't mount like the original grille.

Thanks. I'm a little paranoid about drilling through it, but I guess I'll just keep a close eye on what I'm doing.
