Last year we had our first school car show. Unfortantely I wasn't in it. Signed up too late. The help I need is deciding what to do next, to make my car look really good before the show. My goal is to get 2nd or 3rd. I know I don't have a chance at getting 1st because one of my friends dad has a black 1970 Hemi Cuda with a 440 six pack. Things a beauty! Anyways I need some thoughts. I was thinking some new wheels. Can you think of anything else?

School car show? That sounds like a great idea. Unfortunatly, if your school/area is anything like mine, you'll lose to a bunch of ricers b/c that's what people like these days...1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"<br />Y87<br />Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter<br />Flowmaster American Thunder<br />Numerous appearance mods.<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2154172\" target=\"_blank\">Car Domain</a>

I already have tint on the rear window and tbe legal limit for side in ND is 50% so didn't bother. If I get new rims should I lower it too?
Yeah the car show has its average "ricer" but people at my school have pretty good taste. I'll try to get some pictures of the Cuda too. Here's what you should do (aside from appearance mods.) Either Zaino it (at least five layers) or use Klasse Sealant glaze with five layers. This will gloss up your paint very nicely. Zaino has a cure additive, but with klasse you have to wait 24 hours between coats. Believe, layering waxes is the best way to make your paint shine like it never has.
If you're going to spend some money, my first suggestion is to get some rims.-Eric<br />2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels <br />Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires<br />Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

for wheels if you have a ton of cash get some c6 z06 wheels.
the color of your car reminds me of the z06 on chevy's page. (i realize its not the same color at all, it just reminds me of it ;o )
if not, get the c5 z06 wheels.
i dont care for bullet style wheels myself.<a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2265676\" target=\"_blank\">95 bright red camaro 3.4l</a>

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm looking to get the wheels first, just need to keep saving and not buying food all the time. I don't know about the billet grill. I don't think it would look good with a liscence plate on the front. I already got pulled over for not having one on. If I have left over $$$ I might go for the halos too.-Travis-<br /><br />1999 Hugger Orange Camaro-stock<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/763509\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/ride/763509</a>

A very good wax job... make it shine better than anyone elses.
Clear Corners... probably the best thing you could do for the difference it makes with the price.
Rims.
And if you are looking for something just to try to win the show... get a billet grill and take the front plate off when you get there. You can always sell it if you don't want to keep it.\'96 A4 Camaro 3800<br />Nothing but... <br />Flowmaster 40 series

Don't forget the details. Wax the door frames, the painted channels under the hatch, and the sides of the hood. Also, clean and detail the wheel wells. You also want to make sure all the dried wax is out of all the door locks and emblems.
And make sure your windows are clean. I won a trophy at a show once because my competitor forgot to clean the windshield.
