I had the same problem ,it's an easy fix.
The light houseing is actualy a reworked gm housing but the mounting bracket is a replica .
Just take the stock mounting bracket off your stock lights and put it on the halos.Black 2000 Y87 Camaro with T-tops ,SLP bowtie grill, Suncoast Creations Ram air hood and air box,Hypertech pp3,magnaflow cat back, and hi flow cat. http://members.cardomain.com/sorn09

i just put halos on my camaro a couple weeks ago, and they dont seem to fit right. Although my stock ones didnt really fit that good either. No one has said anything to me about it, and they look fine. You have to force it in place, and they should be fine.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/802975/3

Here's a hint for new installs. Before you put them in, place them next to the old lights that you removed and adjust the screws to them same length as on those. I did this and I had to do ZERO adjustments after installing!! TaaDaa!!!

no, i'm not sure if they're adjusted correctly, which is why the topic is called..."having trouble adjusting black halos" but i guess tomorow, when it is light out i'll try adjusting them again, and if I can't get it, I'll try swapping out the mounts...if i totally unscrew the headlights from the mounts, I can just swap the mounts with the stock ones? will the halos fit on the stock bracketS?#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. well the problem with that is...that i was going to take the headlights out using the adjusting screws...where you need the star tool, and i turned it alot and then decided to take them off the RIGHT way...so i have nothing really to go by bc the others are so messed up now.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Oh. That's too bad. I guess the new brackets are damaged or something if you can't adjust them right. We can save a lot of time if you just assume I know everything...

SXS Camaro -
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/703383
or http://home.tampabay.rr.com/whitewrld/
