  • Touch up paint

My car needs some touch up on the hood. I've been to autozone, advanced auto parts, and pep boys. I looked in my glove box and the all it has for the paint code is WA U146A. None of those stores had touch up that matched that paint code. My car is teal. There's some pics in my sig. Am i gonna have to take my car to a paint/body shop and have it matched?

My store is called United Auto. They carry Dupont Auto Paints. Chech your yellow pages for this.

most auto places should have a gm color crossover book. I got cans of matching as well as bottles with brush. Each was maybe 2-4 bucks ea. I went to a paint shop and they wanted 45 bucks for a small container, and another 12 per aerosol can to fill them.

Yeah, just get some at the dealer. A little bottle for mine was only 9 bucks.

How long do you plan on keeping your stock hood? If you planned on getting an after market hood I wouldn't worry about touching it up!

casketcrewchick: you could probably get yours from Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. Silver isn't a hard color to find. I think he's having trouble because the teal is a little more rare.

Go to autozone, and in the duplicolor touch up paint... look in the book to find your code. They will probably have silver on the shelf.

I had to go to more then one store to fine NBM.

I ended up ordering from www.paintscratch.com I couldn't find BGM anywhere... which isn't really surprising.

Go to a GM shop...I got my bottle for $6 and it's an exact match, so there's no worries.
