Clear corners illegal in jersey?

I just got a pair of clears for the front turn signals but they sent me RED bulbs for some damn reason... Anyways if i find ones for the rear side markers would the cops get mad cause it wont reflect red at night? I want to get a whole set (front and rear) before I put them on the car. Also wouldnt it look more "clear" if u had LED bulbs in it? I mean u would still see the orange from the bulb unless u had LEDs. [img]graemlins/toto.gif[/img]

If you have clear lenses on either the front or rear, they MUST have the colored bulbs to verify their location. Front-yellow, Rear-red. It is illegal in any state to have clear lenses and bulbs for turn signals, maker lights, tailights, etc. How many fines you will get for having illegal lights are depending upon the Officer's mood that day.

duh they need red/amber bulbs. have you ever been behind someone with a tail light that was broken and that dang white bulb shining in ur eyes? That's how the clear side markers would look. EWWWW

I dont want to put clear bulbs in it, just was wondering if overall clear corners were illegal since they dont have colored reflectors.

i've had clear lenses on the front of mine w/ the clear bulbs for maybe a year now, and never had any problems w/ the law. i live in nj too...by the way where are you in nj?

yea i got clears with a clear bulb.. no trouble but dont be stupid and turn them on when behind a cop... ive had a couple times i had it on at an intersection and when a cop came up i turned them off.. but now with my sylvania silverstars installed all my front lights look really yellow in comparison

oh no.... i just got a pair of clear bumper lights too, and i live in NJ, i was wondering why they sent me yellow lights, but when i put them in the didn't blink, they only had 1 filament, where can i get a pair of legal colored 2 filament lights?

i got clear markers with amber bulbs.... they came together as a set from procarparts

Hey there. I live in Swedesboro, NJ right off of EXIT 14 on 295. I am going to put in the clears tomorrow when i get amber bulbs. Anyways i think a friend found rears so i cant wait to get them on there too!!

My Brother had clear corners with clear lights on his car, and he got pulled over a bunch of times for it (in NJ). They never gave him a ticket- they just told him to fix it and let him go.

here is a rough version of the law.

"side markers, and taillights must emit, and reflect the color required in that location"

so they are illegial. you need red on the back, amber on the front, and red reflectors in the taillights.

I figured they were illegal but oh well. LOL I do have the proper colored bulbs...
