Finally got around to sanding and buffing my taillights*pics*
Finally got around to sanding and buffing my taillights*pics*
well i painted them with night shades awhile ago and put a good bit of clear on them. but of course i used spray paint and it came out pretty orange peely. so i sanded it with 2000 grit, hand buffed it with rubbing compound. then used polishing compound, then finshed with meguirs scratch x. came out pretty nice theres a big difference in b4 and after. i could have went a little smoother but i was worried about going down to the color so i stopped myself. i still have a little more buffing to do, but ran out of time.
not bad for some spray paint.

[img]graemlins/love.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/love.gif[/img] you just keeping making your car better and better. looks 10x's better now. how exactly did you paint them? just mask off the reverse lights? did you paint the inside or outside? they look really good on your car but im afraid to do it on my red camaro, i dont know if it would look good or not?. car looks amazing as always.keep up the great work.

i did wet sand them with 800 grit before i painted them. then i masked off the reverse and the reflector. then 3 coats of vht night shades and 4-5 coats of clear (i think, could have been more clear).

i really am interested in doing this as i have nothing more i can do untill i get the frame pulled. did out paint the inside or outside. if inside how exactly did you get in there? sorry for all the questions. :(
