  • Finally got around to sanding and buffing my taillights*pics*

well i painted them with night shades awhile ago and put a good bit of clear on them. but of course i used spray paint and it came out pretty orange peely. so i sanded it with 2000 grit, hand buffed it with rubbing compound. then used polishing compound, then finshed with meguirs scratch x. came out pretty nice theres a big difference in b4 and after. i could have went a little smoother but i was worried about going down to the color so i stopped myself. i still have a little more buffing to do, but ran out of time.

not bad for some spray paint.

          thanx guys!

i did wet sand them with 800 grit before i painted them. then i masked off the reverse and the reflector. then 3 coats of vht night shades and 4-5 coats of clear (i think, could have been more clear).

you paint the outside with what is essentially liquid window tint. its is called

as yaba said you do paint the outside with, i strongly suggest clear coating it too.

                  i got mine from afterthoughtsauto.com
