• 1000 bucks! yea right!

i already have a shop that has quoted me 270 to paint and install the hood, but its just a paint shop so i thought that i would go around and ask a few shops today how much they would charge me.

i go into the bodyshop that came highly recommended by my uncle, and the guy quoted me 1000 F*ckin bucks to paint and install a HOOD! Another shop told me they couldnt give me a quote, but hed take it as a project and charge me by the hour, 62-62 bucks/hour

jesus, i think ill stick witht the shop lined up now.

how much did it cost all you guys with SLP HO hoods to have it painted and installed??
I guess I\'d have answer your question with another question.

How many Abidiginals do you see in modeling??????

headers, 3inch magnaflow cat, Loudmouth
99 Midnight Blue Firebird
3.8L A4

damn man, good luck with your search. i feel your pain. i got my hood painted and installed for $300. it was going to be $350, but when i gave him the hood, he had other projects he was working on and it took about 3 1/2 weeks to get to. so he knocked off $50, cool with me! i admit i was getting a little impatient, but it was worth it. i dont know why the shops are being pric*s about painting a fiberglass hood. id say keep shopppin around. you deffinately should go with a $3-400 price range, and not a fuc*in $1000!

I had my bumper hit by my friend, cracked the paint on it. They sanded it down and repainted the whole thing. Was 450 bucks.

1000 is way too much for a hood, it's not even damaged at all...
