unless you get spacers they will not fit. My friend has a 2000 bird w/ ZR-1 rims and are 17x9.5 and rubbed a little.

    BTW: this is W68Firebird97

Whoa! That is a big tire, why not try the 17x10's, i think those are 265-40's, might be able to get those on, even better, my front stock vette rims are 17x9 w/ 245-40zr's & i know those will fit on an f-bod w/ no problem.

And btw, spacers are not a big deal.

I think slponline.com carries them, could be wrong though.

Just remember that your adding a lot of rotating mass, and will slow your car down a tad (1-2 tenths off your et).

u need spacers for 10.5 i have them. i need 2 on the right side and one on the left, i dont know if my car was in an accident or something before i bought it but they are differnt on both sides, also u can hit the metel part with a hammer to give more clearance

r u sure???? i can undertsand if i was running a 315/35/18 tire but a 295 is not as wide. My last question is that will the tires be flush with the body and fill in gaps that the stock 16x8's dont fill up. I dont mean height wise my car is lowered, i mean width wise in frot and rear.
