My windows are scratched and I'm assuming it has something to do with the guides and some part of the powerwindow operation. Anyone else have this happen? Can it be fixed. I wanna get my windows tinted but I'm afraid that it was start scratching the tint once I get it.

yup, I have it too. it's a 94-95 flaw. Mine have a big scratch all the way down on both of them. I don't know if yo can fix it either...

I Have the same problem, but it not quite as bad. You would think the *******s at GM would test their products before giving them to the public. [img]graemlins/thumbsdown.gif[/img]
i have that same problem, i would really like to know it there is a cheap way to fix it. i have tint and everything is working out ok with it, it looks like that stratches are on the outside and the tint goes on the inside. so it's cool

Hey Camaro15, the tint isn't scratched at all, this is awesome, I can live with it if I can tint the front windows and not worry about the tint scratching.

I talked to my window guy a few years back, he said that the giuds are whats scratching it up. I happens on a lot of cars other than our, that dont have the frame above the window.
Cause: the guides are on the outside part of the window, and made of metal. You can see them if you pull the rubber away from the class and look down on it where the scratches are originating from.
temp fix: put vasoline down there to avoid more scratches - only problem - windows streek
another temp fix is to replace the metal guide every time they get rusty.
perm fix: none. no one makes plastic ones, nor stainless steele.
one of the ONLY car company's to totally cure this problem with "frameless" windows in mercedes, and they wont share the technology...of course.
