Cleaning the engine bay...

Does anyone have any tips on cleaning the engine bay? Summer is coming up and I wanna get my car very very sexy. Can I just get some soapy water dump it in there and hose it?

I leave mine off, make sure it is cool/cold and try not to soak everything, just rinse it off.

if you have access to a pressure hose use it ;) , at the Mazda dealer, we leave it running, spray degreaser, spray with hose...though the porters always sprayed with hose, sprayed degreaser, sprayed with hose *shrug*
