what trim pieces are you talking about? I'm not going to pretend I know the exact answer but I am assuming that the door panels can easily be changed. There are some hooks around the edges of the door panels that fit into the door itself and I'm assuming this will allow the panels to be interchanged. Now if you do that, (change the whole panel) I don't think you will have to worry about the plugs lining up. The wires can still be threaded through the handle just like the Firebirds. I think the center console can be changed just as easily as well. I think the hardes part will be replacing the whole dash. I don't know if this helps or not. Hope it does though.

Some dude on another board just did this to his car, I think if you search on LS1.com you can find out about it. He stuck trans am panels in his camaro. I didnt read all the details, but I remember the doors needing some slight modification. They do fit, but you hafta redrill holes (like 4 maybe) in the door frame to mount the door panel. Also I think the wiring harnesses were different, but I believe the guy said he just spliced the wires together or something and skipped out on using the harnesses. Search ls1.com though and you should find some results, I'm pretty sure he took a bunch of pictures and is doing a write up too

I think chuckys95, the guy off the Camaroz28.c0m board did this. He's the guy running the 19 and 20's on his Camaro.
