So much nicer (also drivers side has a filth line that won't come off where it was)

as you can see, the trim is all porous and ****ty looking

Damn this **** was hard to remove, alot of sticker remover was used, and my thumb nails...

but in the end, as you can see it was worth it!

I tried doing that, but around the molding the clear coat was chipping away leaving an outline. i had to put it back on... oh well.

I removed mine and found out the dealership didn't paint my door all the way when I first bought the car. There was a large (2") hole in the drivers door when I bought the car so they "painted" the door. Turns out they just painted to the molding. Now I have a nice line down the side of just the door. Still looks good....but I know its there.

Just a suggestion. Maybe some rubbing compound would help that filth crap. My front nose on my camaro got messed by bugs and it kinda looks the same. I applied several coats of rubbing compound and it helped blend that whitish color back to red.

I had that awful looking side molding in my 94 bird and back when I had it....2 years ago...I got advice from a detailer who said to carefully use a brillo pad on them. I tried it and sure enough it worked great...got rid of all that crappy junk

Mine started to do than, I was more careful, and used my nails instead of pulling with fishing line (this was to stressful on it i guess) Also its only on the drivers side this is like this, almost looks like there was a quick paint done..
