• Rear Filler panel Faded LOOK INSIDE ------>

Ok i decided to experiment w/ that rear filler panel that fades on EVERY FIREBIRD i have seen. I decided to get some decals to match my car (white). I then did the unthinkable i sanded SANDED and SANDED !! inttil everything was smooth i then polished the HE!! out of it to get about 80% of the scratches out. I am not just waiting to get the decals and put them on and ill have pictures up. I was thinking that if some other people wanted this done in any color i wouldnt mine doing some i would charge about $45 if you send me yours and $70 if you want me to make one and send it to you ( i can get them from the junkyard for $25) So if anyone is interested let me know. I spent about 4 hours sanding and polishing, i am still trying to decide weather i should clear coat it after i put the decal on !?!?!? hmmmm

Could someone post some instructions on how to sand that off? And what grit they used? Also, if they could be detailed, that would rule

What i did was i used 1000 grit and sanded untill smooth and the old bird no longer showed. I then clear coated it twice and wetsanded it to give it a better look using 1500 grit and finally a buffer cream to get rid of the small scrathes from the sand paper and applied decals
