Does any one know the replacement bulb i would need and how do i replace it. just take the dash off and cdplayer covor out?

Unfortunatly I do not have the part number for the bulb as I stole my replacement out of a friends 97 grand am. However I'm sure your local parts store can get you the right part.
However, to gain access to the bulb, remove the radio faceplate, there are 8? plastic tabs holding it on. Once loose, there is a single ribon cable connecting the face to the rest of the unit.
Once the face is free, examine it behind the display and you should see the bulb protected by a piece of white plastic. Twist the bulb 90 degrees and it should come out.
I've only seen the innards of the 96 & 97 delco units though, but hopefully this helps a little.
