Chas- Have you been able to make the trans work right when trying to install?? I have some trans, and can have a dye-sub used. I just want to see what you have come up with so far.

As for the XP issue. Suggestion: get a full photo editor program. Photoshop, GIMP, PaintShopPro...

And DAMN!! I'm kicking myself in the *** for tossing my original backfacing from when I installed the white ones in mine.... [img]graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img]

well after testing with many different styles I decided to keep my OEM overlays... later I might try to do a deeper black on a transparency and them get in laminated but on my others all the color faded from the sun. so the old saying goes... you get what you pay for [img]smile.gif[/img]

Has anyone got this to work? All the further I got is a design that I kind of like and don't really have time to work on it. How do you print it out? Take it to kinkos? If someone has a good way to get it printed that would probably motivate me to try work on it.

Get the sizes for them and take a disc to a photo or printing shop. It shouldent be too much $ to print it good there.

I actually went and peeled these overlays off my panels, that seemed the easiest way to scan them. I'm not sure how I'm gonna get the speedo cluster scanned cause I'm afraid to peel off the overlay on that. Now that I think about it, my scanner bed is probably not even long enough :mad: . I'm gonna try printing on different types of paper and see which has the best results. Wish me luck.<hr></blockquote>

i did this for my HVAC controls. its a big naked girl on there. it was easy. cost me 2.50 to get printed out because i printed out a transparency, too. i'm going to make another one.

JVT007 would you be willing to make me a set of overlays for a 1999 firebird for the HVAC the Light switch and the shift plate. Either in silver with the same marking on the symbols as the checkered flags or the same as the checkered flags

I'm happy that you think I am skilled enough to make these for you but I just couldn't do it. My printer is not worthy to be a perm replacment.

There are infact someone other people on ebay selling their "custom" overlays. Search on ebay they will do anything you want.
