I was just wondering what people thought. I have seen it done on some firebirds and was wondering if I should do it to mine. I just lowered my car so I thought it would look good to put neons on the underneath of the car. Do yall think it is Ricey or not...Just want some feed back...
Thanks,
Joey

I pledge aliegence to the flag that sits on the front facia of my camaro and to the Mickey Thompsons that make it stand two tires under torque indivisable
I don't know if you could call it "rice", however I think it looks extremely tacky and definitely out of place. No offense to you guys who have them/like them, but he asked for opinions.

One of my friends got pulled over a little while ago and while talking with the cop he asked about the legality of under car neons. The cop told him that any color is illegal and that they are not allowed at all. I think that is BS cause if they werent allowed there sure are a WHOLE lot of people around here with them. I wanted to get red. Yet also heard that red, and blue where illegal. Dangit I want clarity on this subject. I really like red on a red car or blue on blue. Just don't get a fairy purple or pink color and you will be good :-D
I have red on my red bird. Not ricy at all. I have had them for over a year, only pulled over once. I was not even given a warning, or a ticket. Cop just told me to be careful. Just dont ride with them on when you are on the highway.
I get a lot of looks when they are on, and everyone in my town wants them.

i used to have them on my explorer. The cops pulled me over all the time, the funny thing was they always told me that Red and Blue were illegal becasue those colors are reserved for emergency vehicles. (except for tail lights i guess..) anyway, the funny thing was, the neon's i had would fade from blue to purple, so the cop would stop me when they were blue, and by the time he got to the car they would be purple.. a couple actually asked if they changed colors, and i was like. um yeah... watch it'll change her in a second... anyway enough of my rambling. I kinda like the way they look, especially if you can't actually see the light tube itself. If you hide the tube well, and can only see the reflection i really like the way it looks.. just my opinion.. Good luck..

I think they're pretty cool, but you probably wanna stay away from red or blue. I have a friend that's got yellow (on a yellow car so it looks alright) and he's never even been pulled over for them. This is amazing considering we have probably the highest police corruption and harrassment per capita in the United States. You just don't wanna spend $150 and then get a ticket. That would really suck.

All you need to do is call or stop by your nearest State Trooper office and ask them. They are the best people to ask about state laws. Don't ask your city police, half the time they don't know. Of course, if you wanted to know about local laws, then ask the cops, not state troopers. Hope this helps.
On a white car, what color do you guys think would look good? Also, the CHP out here don't trip about stopping you for neons, they'd rather catch the guys hittin 110-120 down I-5.
Thanks for all the replies...I think they would look cool on my car but I dont know what to get...I have a chameleon paint job that is blue, green and purlple..I think purple would look tight because of the darkness but I dont want people to think i might be a *** or something...I was also thinking about green dont know. I have a friend that has a link to a website for neon sets at about $125...I will post the link once I get it...they are street glow too...the come complete.

i have red neon lights on my red bird and i htink its tight. put some light switches under my sterring wheels ot control tehm i have them above your feet so you can't see then and also i am about to get underbody lights (red) i put in fog lights too. everylight is illegal that u put on or in your car except amber. if it is red or blue u get in more trouble for impersonating a police officer. so those are the facts
PS only illegal while driving.
