Painting T - Top frame?

Just curious if anyone has re-painted black the portion of the T Top frame that is the color of the rest of car (in my case, pewter)?

Comments, anyone?

I would assume you could paint it but it would probably wear off kind of soon due to the fact it's rubber. I've never done it or heard of anyone who's done it so if you could get it to work, go for it! It would make your's stand out from everyone elses :D

I dont get it? what t-top frame?? You mean the middle part that seperates the 2?/

I'm talking about the car body itself, not the tops.

The T - top frame is painted pewter in front (by the windshield) and in the middle (on both sides of the middle black track where the tops go in) It is painted the body color because it is part of the car's body / frame.

You can't see the color when the tops are on because it is covered by the dark glass. When the tops are off, it looks good - but I thought it might look better if the entire top section under the tops was painted black.

BTW, I am not talking about the portion of the roof that is not covered by the tops.

I'd appreciate any comments anyone has.
