  • Gosh darn...car got egged last night...damage..

We came out this morning around 8 am to find my car got egged sometime during the night. One egg was thrown... and by the eggshells that were 8 ft behind and almost in the road it looks like they threw it from a long distance on the street. There were also eggshells by the garage door and sidewalk. The egg crap was all over the entire driver's side window and the door just about the middle...missing the flames. There was also egg shell/yolk remnants on the hood and passenger side. The car was in the driveway and we figure they were in a car driving down the street. We washed the car and thought everything was ok and then as we were drying I saw where the egg hit my door had actually cracked right through the clear coat. The first pic you can see it from that far away in the middle of the door directly to the left of the door handle. The other pics are closer up to show the impact :(

We're pretty sure this was something radom...they could've done alot worse to it but still its bad to me since its cracked the clear coat!! I'm going to take it over to the painter and see what he can do. At least its not in the flames shakehead . I wish I knew who did it...can guarentee they'd be eating through a straw for a week.

Also going to call insurance company and see what's covered under vandelism

oh crap! I'm sorry to read that. thank goodness it was on the door (plastic) and not on the rear fender where the impact would have not only gone through the clearcoat but dented the hell outta your car too. Keep an eye open in the next few weeks. If it happened once, it'll happen again. The kids that did it got away with it once and had fun, they'll do it again. Just imagine, right now they are sitting around hittin' the bong and telling their friends how fun it was last night going around eggin' houses and cars. "And DUDE! You know that "camaro" (cause they won't know the difference) with all those purple and orange flames?? We TOTALLY nailed it too!"

Thanks Sam....yeah I'm sure the kids are smiling about what they did. I will cover the car now everynight from now on :( . My boyfriend's car goes in the garage so mine will always be out. We're also going to look into an alarm with sensitivity for stuff like that :(

speaking of alarms....do you know if they are such things as alarms that have vibrating remote key fobs? So when you're in the movies or something, and your alarm goes off, your remote control vibrates warning you that your car is being messed with and you can run out from the middle seat, knocking over everyone's drinks and popcorn bags, tripping into the aisle and running out to see a squirrel on your car.

DAMN! I didn't think an egg would leave a bullseye like that! I have one on my bumper from a rock  Sorry something happened to your SWEET ride.

a car alarm would be more enticing. DUDE I MADE THE ALARM GO OFF. HAHAHAH. THAT RULED!!!!!!!! a car cover will make them not come to it though. there'll be no damage to show for. thats all they care about.

After doing what they did,,I don't think they would walk down the driveway..remove the cover and do whatever to the car..they would be too scared..

Sorry to hear that happened :(
It's always personal when someone messes with your car! I hope you find out who did it..

Yeah, wait until some jealous bast*** keys the side of your car for no reason. Right by the gas flap, it's about 20 inches long. I only wish I would've been there when it happened, like if I was coming out of a store or something and he thought I was just passing by and wasn't the owner... I swear, I'd go over there, knock him to the ground, and key his car from end to end. Forget insurance, I know a guy who runs a good body shop who can just touch it up for me. But still, it's the principle of the thing. I hate when kids do crap like that, and think it's cool. I hate to hear about the egg thing, it would p' me off too. But let it be known, people will always be jealous of F-bodies, especially those that stand out, like your flames or my stripes. So yeah, sorry to hear about another random act of jealousy, but those punks will never have a car like yours, so I wouldn't sweat it.

There's acutally something I'm looking into getting that sorta does that..its a pager that vibrates when it's set off. It looks pretty cool...taps into you existing alarm system..suppose to have a .5 mile distance...but the pager has a thing on it to tell you if your in range...here's the link...
