I'm thinking about tailight blackouts, but I don't want to get into any trouble with them. Has anyone had a problem with them? I heard there illegal not because of the less amount of light shining, but because theres no red reflective stripes running across the light. Is that true?

make sure you turn them on your lights at night, and make sure that you dont park in the street after dark. Thats pretty much all the reflectors are good for. im more upset about the little amount of light that gets through during the day. That third light on the spoiler helps though. I say go for 'em. Get GTS if you can, AVS are darker. GTS may have stopped making them I heard though. Try anyway.

Dads a cop and i asked him here in indiana it's as lone as you can see the lights from 500 feet. You can't really see them good from a few feet but it gets better further back. I've never been pulled for them and i have had them for 3 months. I did get pulled over for my liscense plate light though.,My new ride 2000 camaro, No mods yet still waiting for warranty to run out then all out heads, cam, and supercharger

gts doesn't make 'em for birds, only avs, and they are illegal, you can't see any red light durring the day(that's what makes them illegal, i talked to a cop friend of mine, and that's what he told me). i've been pulled over twice for mine in about 3 mo. i finally took them off cus i hated the hassle.

What about if your drive around with your driving lights on so it stays red, and never park on the street? I know it's kind going out of the way, but at least you can still add some style.Massivefirebird\'s <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/id/leondb\" target=\"_blank\">(leonDB) Cardomain</a><br /><a href=\"http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cgi-bin/flowmaster\" target=\"_blank\"> Flowmaster 80</a>, <a href=\"http://www.knfilters.com/\" target=\"_blank\"> K&N FIPK</a>, <a href=\"http://www.jetchip.com/\" target=\"_blank\"> Jet Stage 2 & 180º T/S</a>, <a href=\"http://www.boschusa.com/AutoParts/SparkPlugs/PlatinumPlus4/\" target=\"_blank\"> Bosch quads</a>, <a href=\"http://www.pilotautomotive.com/pilot2dn.htm\" target=\"_blank\"> Pilot 1055 Fogs</a>, <a href=\"http://makotoautotrends.com/\" target=\"_blank\">Clear turn signals</a>, <a href=\"http://www.autoventshade.com/\" target=\"_blank\">AVS rear blackouts</a>... <a href=\"http://www.massiveaudio.com\" target=\"_blank\">2 Massive CW 12\'s</a>, <a href=\"http://www.kicker.com\" target=\"_blank\">Kicker 2252, 652,& 352 XI Amps</a>, <a href=\"http://www.mbquart.com/2003/en_US/home/\" target=\"_blank\">MB Quart</a>.

Hmmmm, what about www.zbaron.com ? He has them for birds, and I wonder if they are similar to GTS's. I'll shoot them an e-mail and ask. And if that fails, we can always rally one super huge petition or bombard GTS with e-mail requesting they make one. It just may work.

EDIT: Ok, this is what I posted at the Zbaron forum: <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Hello, I saw you have tailight blackouts for Firebirds. Are these covers the same darkness as the GTS covers? I want to know because GTS covers are known to show more light, and Auto VentShade ones are very dark. AVS makes them for Birds, GTS doesn't. I want to know how dark the Zbaron ones are in comparison to the GTS and AVS ones. Thank you.<hr></blockquote>
