    Yup thats exactly what I plan on doing. The only problem is, which paint should I use? I know a guy with red rims that he painted himself who touches them up every week lol. I dont wanna have to be doing that.

      go to a powdercoat shop.. it really isn't that much, and they have good warranties. Over here there is a place that'll do each rim for around 50 bucks, that includes then sanding off old finish so it looks extra shiny. I'd go professional if I were you.
