Right now I have a dark green 94 firebird. I know that paint jobs have gotten rather inexpensive, but I wanted your opinion on going with a completely different color. In this case, I was wanting to go with orange. Is a complete color change gonna work with these two colors?

well just to let you know i went and got an estimate on my car cuz i wanted to change the color from red to bright blue.. roughly $800 for a good paint job, then $75 for each item painted (inside doors, inside engine, inside trunk) you know so they all are the same color! so i was quoted $1600... but if you get a good paint job they sand the entire car down and prime it too. so the color would be no problem! oooh... orange... if you go through with this you should take some b4 and after pictures!!! i think the new color would look great! and you'll never be able to tell the difference if you get it done right... good luck!

i saw a car go from pewter to electron blue. the engine bay was painted by masking off everything. it looked awesome. the price was outrageous because of the custom work aside from the general painting, but i was surprised at the transition.

I know a guy whos got a 93 camaro he races, and he painted it this orange color thats kind of two shades, its bad *** , I think a good hugger orange would look nice, I had a performance pontiac magazine that has an orange firebird with a trans am wing, theirs also this guy around here whos got a 93-97 bird painted bright yellow, it looks great, and has black strips in the hood inserts and back, thats what I want to do to my car but I don't wanna copy off of him, so if I do change the color of my 97, im going with orange with black strips.

BTW. I saw a newly painted bright orange Hemi Cuda pass me on the way to work...... OMG it looked good!
