Step 1: Grab
    Step 2: Pull
    Step 3: Have a beer

I did the same thing, click the link in my sig to see pictures. I've had no front plate for a long while in CA and have never been stopped. Just FYI :D

If you're careful, you shouldn't break anything. The 3 clips on the bottom and the one on each side come off easily. The three on the top you have to work at a little bit. You can take off the entire bumper cover if you want also. You're guaranteed to be able to use the grill again, but it takes a long time.

I've seen folks who have mounted their front plate on their front air dam. It's up front but will be difficult to see. You might get away with it! ;) :D

I actually want to pull mine off, but eventually want to get the SLP grille to go back in. Can you pull the stock grille off without having to undo any of the panels on the bottom of the car, or is this the only way do get at it without breaking anything?

They are pretty difficult to remove..i tried my dremmel to chip away the plastic a little, but i just ended up chipping some paint off..anyways how do i get back in that compartment to remove the screws from th back?

I've been thinking about doing this for a while. Started but realized it would brake so figured I would be real sure I wanted to do it. Went cruising last night and a black SS with maroon stripes pulled up. At first it looked like a painted grille and I thought damn I want one of those. Then looked closer and realized he just pulled it out. So that was that, went over and had my friend help yank it off. Broke the clips but oh well. It looks great other than the foam in the back. And black looks even better, it's harder to tell if it's an aftermarket grille or just removed the stock one.

Anyone have any ideas on how to dress up the back of the grille to get rid of that ugly styrofoam? it's hard to notice but I know it's there and I want to cover it or something.

ok pull the clips off the bottom of the front bumper and reach up behind there are 3 push on clips pull them off they are kinda hard 2 do. Next pull the sides off on the grill. Then starting from one side pull on the grill till the nut on the back pops off don't pull too hard or you will break it. There are 3 nuts total. There ya go and you can put it on or take it off any time you want. note: if you have a license plate bracket on the front you might want 2 take it off first before you do this so you don't mess up the bumper.

heres a pic of my old one

As for something for the foam behind it I would put a mesh behind it but you have 2 find one that looks good.

Whoever has a grill that doesn't have a front license plate drilled into I want it !
