  • Rk Performance Spoiler

So my friend has a 2000 pewter camaro with black stripes. He just got the RK Sport spoiler that is 5in. tall.

Well I saw it today for the first time and thought it looked way out of place. Too tall? Or mabey it was the stripes? Anyways do you guys have any suggestions on how to make it flow a little better. I just can't figure out why it looks so odd.

yea it does look odd. its way too tall. but i think if there was ground effects on the car it would give more of a race car look since that is what the spoiler is trying to do anyway i think. and that would kinda even everything out a little. but unless the car is or looks lower to the ground its going to look out of place.

    come get some

I love that spoiler. I am getting that when I get mine painted. I call it the NASCAR spoiler, it's the most functional spoiler I have seen. There is a black Camaro around here with it... I'll take some pics and send them to you if you like.

What does it have done to it. Does it have the Gfx? Send me some pictures to Trackis@cableone.net
I'm might not like it right now because I'm not used to it. I have just the RS spoiler on mine so his is like 3 inches taller. Mabey it will grow on me.

I don't think it is very tasteful without a bodykit...and i think the rs spoiler flows better..but I have seen worse wings...Has anyone seen the commando wing on a camaro? yuck.

It only looks bad from the back. From the other angles it doesn't look to bad. I told him a bodykit would probably make it look better. Now he is thinking of either getting that or some new wheels.

I'll get some pictures the next time I see it. I don't think that he will be there before Monday. I'm not too sure what other mods are on the car... I just remember the spoiler. It reminds me of the 2nd Gen spoilers.

Duck bill wing... eh, I don't really care for it, but to each his own. I like the stock RS spoiler and the SS spoiler much more.

there's a spoiler very simialar too that one only rk doesnt make it, looks MUCH better I think it's like an inch shorter and leans back a little more, either way Ive been looking for it for a while cant seem to find it, but eh, ya take some pics of the car with the spoiler on it wanna see it.

edit: woohoo heres the one I was looking for

                      http://www.lmperformance.com/3139/13.html

much cleaner, + it's only 1 piece, the next appearance thing I plan on doing....they say it's only 3 in but I dunno, looks very good especially on a car with GFX like, mine ;)

damn, and it's only half the price of the rk one :D

Yeah I think that one would look better. Plus that's a pretty good price. I'll see if I can get some pictures of it.

It reminds me of the spoilers on the old 2nd gen camaros. And I agree a body kit would definatly help the flow. I know it does with my car.
95 black 3.8 camaro, Intake, Pacesetters, Flowmaster 80 series, accel plugs and wires, B&M shift kit (eh could be better), hopefully a highflow cat soon. and a bunch of appearance mods.
