The camaro panels are a bit of a pain because you have to remove the weatherstripping at the top in order to fully upholster it. That strip is rubber with a steel center and if you bend it, it won't lay quite right again. Not to mention it is held on by some crazy staples that are hard to get out.

I did my panels two different ways because I bought seats as well. On one panel, I cut a piece of vinyl that was just a little bit bigger than the cloth pad, and just tucked it underneath the weatherstripping and under the panel. On the other door I actually took it all apart and it was a lot harder. If I had a better way to remove the staples and a super gun to put it all back together with, then I would re-do the other side...but for now, no.

It's vinyl. Easiest place to get stuff like that is a store that carries fabric for interior design (i.e. drapes, re-upholsetering furniture, etc). It's difficult to find at most craft stores.

Yea the Camaro Doors are a bit harder. I have done them if you have any questions.

i cant get my leather panel to align just right to the actual door panel and the melting of the tabs thing just isnt working. so their is gaps between the door and the panel. they arent huge but its noticeable . does anyone have any idea on what i could do and use to fix this and what did you use to [put the weatherstripping back on?could i just use a hot glue gone and glue to keep it together

For the tabs that you are trying to melt and are not working please elaborate as to what the exact problem is? If you do not have enough plastic from the original tab an easy solution is to get an old plastic pen of some kind and use small chunks to fill in the missing.

As for your weather stripping that was not easy, however it can be done. I recommend a STRONG staple gun with comparative staples that where originally used. This is the hardest part of all, and is the main reason why I shy away from doing Camaro doors, but it is possible to do it.

Let me know of any other questions that you have.

You can give that a shot. Another last resort method is to take a sheet metal screw and a large washer and attempt to screw it into the plastic post (what’s left of it), but be VERY careful not to penetrate the reverse side.

                            I hope this helps.
