My halos are still leaking after i ran a bead of rtv silicone sealant around them!!! grr...its not a whole lot of water, more like a condensation...but I really want to fix it. I called a bodyshop and they said they could fix it at $44/hr and they dunno how long it COULD take...and also they won't guarantee it is fixed...What else could be leaking? maybe where the bulb is plugged in? If someone knows, could you please help me out...Another bodyshop told me to remove them...(this would be my 2nd time removing them, and unwiring the halo and all that good stuff) and spray windex on them, and then put an airhose in where the lightbulb goes, then if I see any bubbling then that is where the leak is...I might try that tomorow but more help is appreciated.

first time i have heard of doing that to find a stubburn leak but i think it should work. just do the obvious things like removing all the bulbs but one kind question/idea. how are you going to seal the hose in the light housing good enough to cause sufficiant pressure for a really small leak? also, if you get a good seal, if your air pressure is high enough, wouldnt that break the housing? just some thoughts that can to mind that might help prevent a problem.

i was going to figure out how to pressurize it tomorow...lol. But have you heard anything else on fixing stubborn leaks? They're brand new for godsake.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Brand new 400 cubic inch Pontiac Motor. i havent come across a leak yet that couldnt be fixed by a bead of silicone so i have no little tricks. do the light bulbs or sockets or housing have gaskets or does it look like it should? maybe a groove?
i would try their idea and go from there.

i will, but it just seems like i put PLENTY of silicone around them...like maybe the leak is coming from where the bulb goes. But I'll hafta check for gaskets tomorow. What do you mean "maybe a groove"...where the bulb is plugged in? This sucks @ss.
thanks.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Brand new 400 cubic inch Pontiac Motor. Ok, now I think i Might have found the problem. the hi-beam bulb on each one fits rather loosely...I took some plumbers putty (which like, NEVER dries) and formed an O-ring and put it around the headlight bulb. then I squeezed it into the socket and it fits tightly now, and hopefully water proof. Thank you me. (pat on back) but seriously, I hope it works....is that a fire hazard???#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Have you tried calling the company that made the lights? If noone else is having problems, maybe you just got a bad set.
