  • Trans Am Hatch Upgrade (help)

Ok, I just got a great deal on a 2001 black Trans Am hatch, and I'm only going to end up paying a couple hundred for everything, including shipping.

However, upon closer observation, the plastic panels along the interior ridges when you lift up the hatch (do you know what I'm saying, I have a picture if you don't) are not included, as those were "part of the interior".

Now, I really don't want to begin to dismantle my hatch as it is right now, becasue I'm planning on selling it complete, but I may have to take the interior panels off.

If I have to do this, I will, but I'd rather not. How much do those generally sell for and where can I pick them up, I can't find them listed on eBay.

If that's the only choice I have, how do I remove them without damaging the plastic?

    Thanks

You might be able to get them at a salvage yard but I dunno..

Problem is there are no salvage yards where I'm at that even HAVE Firebirds (fourth gens at least).

      Small community :/...

Does anyone know what the specific name to those panels are called?

It's not that hard to switch the plastic interior panels from your current hatch to your new TA hatch, you just need to be careful pulling the pieces from your current hatch and as long as you do that all should go well.
