Ok, well to explain my situation I guess I should start from the beginning. I wrecked my car about a year ago and got it fixed (new SS hood and fender from ebay). Well a guy fixed it and did an extremely shoddy job... bad fitment, swirls, orange peel, and a cat's paw print on the nose clip. Now im having my car painted red with racing stripes and a xenon body kit installed. To fix a couple of dents I had, have it painted red with white stripes and the body kit it was $3,400. Well the body kit just arrived and the place calls me and tells me the body kit sucks balls. They said it came in like a 3 foot long box and it was all folded up and stuff and they said it was flimsy which ment it had to be molded. he is requesting an additional $500 to the total I have already payed. Does this seem fair? It took the bodykit 2 weeks to show up and my car had been in the shop for 3 weeks as it is. He also says that my car will be gone another whole week (car itsself is done). My question for the xenon body kit owners is this, is it really that ****ty of a kit? Should I just tell them to send it back and go get my car? Or should I just pay the additional $500 and go through with it. I don't want to go through with it if it will crack into pieces first thing I scrape. I could really use your input here, I'm 17 and haven't dealt with situations such as this before. Thanks. I'll post pics when I get it back.

Most companies send body kits all folded up in a small box. I was told that you have to lay them out to staighten in the sun and their "memory" will return them to the right shape as they warm. Didn't work for me so i used a hair dryer to warm them as I molded them back into the right forms. Worked pretty good for me. I've never heard anything about Zenon being crappy or anything. We can save a lot of time if you just assume I know everything...

SXS Camaro -
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/703383
or http://home.tampabay.rr.com/whitewrld/

it is made of urethane, so it cant really break into pieces.
also molding is optional, it sits over the existing bumper and creates 2 more lines on the car. which arent noticable unless you really look.
I love my kit. Go for it and maybe not pay to have it molded. unless you want to, but itr should w/o molding.2003 Chrome Silver Nissan 350z 6 Speed

2001 Bright Rally Red Camaro 3800 M5-----SOLD but missed

Also, the guy said that the kit came with double sided tape to put them on. To me, thats dissapointing.2000 Camaro, Pewter Metallic, M5 tranny, 3.23 gears, Hard Top,

Modifications:
SLP loudmouth (dual/dual tips)
MSD 8.5mm wires
K&N airfilter
SS hood (don\'t buy from fiberglassfabricators.com!!!)
Spec stage 2 clutch

well if the double sided tape is disapointing then spend the 500 to get it molded. i personally havent had a problem with the tape yet and its been a while.2003 Chrome Silver Nissan 350z 6 Speed

2001 Bright Rally Red Camaro 3800 M5-----SOLD but missed

Sounds to me like you should of done some more research before you got it.
and Turban, he was referring scraping the car over a bump or something, NOT running over it. thats just rediculousBlack \'94 Trans Am A4- SLP CAI & Loudmouth
Red \'93 Firebird A4- Ram Air under the WS6 hood, !cat, exhaust.

huh, red camaro with white stripes and a xenon body kit...who's car does that remind me of?? ME. ya well the xenon is great it gets screwed on in a coupe places and the rest of the loose parts get taped on...the ones ive seen that have been molded on, the urethane ones at least, since the urethane can flex it will crack/warp the body filler that they used to fill in the gaps, a fiberglass kit wont do that but it will crack and break upon impact....Ive had no problem with my kit and the front bumper is pretty forgiving with my car being so low, it bends up a little bit if I scrape and everything is fine....the bodyshop is supposed to put the kit, UNPAINTED in the oven first to get the oils and such out of the urethane before they paint it (according to the instructions) this process will also bring the kit back into shape. check the old pics in my sig theres pictures of the kit on my car unpainted you'll see what the kit actually is....good luck.
to save you some time

damn, i thought u would be pissed at me nikon. I was originally just getting a paint job and I printed out a picture of your car to show him what I wanted it took look like paint wise. Well little did I know, my dad went up to the place and told them to order the body kit as a graduation present. If he would have told me about it, I definetly wouldn't have got the xenon kit, prolly the rksport or vizage or something. But the picture of your car made the body kit and paint look so damn good I had to not argue with my dad for his decision. To top it all off, I still have factory 5 spoke rims. Thanks for all the help guys.2000 Camaro, Pewter Metallic, M5 tranny, 3.23 gears, Hard Top,

Modifications:
SLP loudmouth (dual/dual tips)
MSD 8.5mm wires
K&N airfilter
SS hood (don\'t buy from fiberglassfabricators.com!!!)
Spec stage 2 clutch
