  • Decal Purchase - To reflect or not?

Since I have no cash and want to do something to my car I thought I'd get all the decals to make it look a bit prettier.

I think I'm gonna purchase from here: http://www.autografics.com/ - can anyone comment on the quality of the decals? Reason I'd rather order from there than from BFranker is because they have the headlight decal and its easier to get'em all in once location.

Also, how are the reflective decals. My car is Pewter, so I'm going with the Pewter/black (don't really think any other colors fits well). Any comments on how the reflectives look at day/night - I don't want to go for anything tacky and flashy; just want to make it look nice and clean. Currently I'm debating whether the reflectives are too tacky.

Any input to influence my decision is appreciated. :D

I have the reflective deal on the back bumper where it says PONTIAC and I like it... it's black and reflects white.

I got a pewter car and was originally going to get black and started thinking. That is just so typical and conservative, so I got red to be different and it actually looks good. Black you can't tell, and looks like it came like that. Red for sure it looks like you installed it. Plus, when it reflects red it looks like another taillight reflector.

I had the exact same concerns. I didn't want anything wild or ricy. I've got reflective black vinyl out back on my camaro, and its very subtle, not gaudy at all. I'm real happy with it. It reflects back as white, but that only occurs when you shine light on it dead on. To be technical, reflection only occurs at very low angles of incidence.

Since you're looking to dress up your pewter bird, I'd take a good hard look at Brett's 'carbon-fiber' colored vinyl. Here's a real nice close up I took: link.

It's just my opinion, but I think that would look fantastic against a silver/pewter paint scheme. In any case, don't hesitate to buy the reflective vinyl. It's a good product and not "too flashy" at all.

Dont get reflective for something that small.. It would be a waist because it wouldnt show up as much as you would think because its so small. But getting a normal color will be cool.. I hope you understand what I just said! lol

I got reflective for the back. It looks good by daylight and really stands out at night...
