nto sure what nascar your talking about, but the last couple that i have been in, have had 3" plus wings on the back?

Maybe that is because they were the daytona cars? not sure? But its more than 3/4"

either way, the stock TA wing is taller than a nascar wing.

So what you mean is if I put the Mecham Wing or the Wings West extension on my car, its rice?

Well, there are some people on here that don't care about bodykits and that type stuff. I've seen a few trans ams down my way have that wing and I honestly don't have a problem with it. One guy had it molded to the T/A spoiler and it looked pretty good. Other people are so against it because they are close minded. Dude if you honestly like it get it, it would look pretty good. But my only problem though is that you don't have a T/A rear hatch. I would get that before you went with the wing. Also I dont' think i'd stick it on a stock looking car. If you had rims, that hatch, maybee a hood then I would think about sticking it on. But don't get too ahead of yourself or it won't look right.

A TA Hatch is on the way, I should get it on March 10th. I was going to get them both put on at the same time, but now I changed my mind about the high wing. I go through these ricer phases.

And I am going to get the US exotics Superhawk hood, once Roger releases it for sale.

I have had bad experiences with Rims, and that is why its stock, I will probably not change it ever, cause I had a bad incident with some wheels , I like a moron put M5 wheels on my Car (cause my neighbor gave them to me for free). Lets just say that I hit a big pothole while going fast. The wheel was sliding off, literally coming off, I felt it and steered to the shoulder, and crashed onto the grass on nj turnpike. The had to tow me out of there, since One wheel had totally comeoff.

After that I am scared of aftermarket rims. :(

I might get stock chrome trans am wheels someday. But that is not in the near future.

Lol yea I had some tightening issues with my wheels before, you gotta keep a check on the lugs once in a while to make sure they don't come loose. It's a bad feeling like you said when your driving down an interstate and your wheel is about to fly off. But anyway good luck with your hood and hatch I think your car will look fantastic after it's all done.

I don't know why anyone ever asks about anything that could be considered "import" stuff on here, it always ends up going the same way. Blah blah blah rice this and rice that.
Honestly though, I've never gotten any negative comments on my car and I've had a few things that would be considered rice(even altezzas :( oh no!). You might be dissed on here but chances are you'll just get compliments on the streets.

personally, I've seen the wing and kit on a white TA, and I think it looks cool. It's not really for downforce, mainly looks. I like it. Rice isn't a look, it's a mentality people. just cuz ppl put big wings on their cars doesn't mean it's rice. rear wheel drive cars can benefit from the downforce, and if it's just for looks, it still makes sense. don't call rice unless it's because of the way someone thinks, not just because their car looks a certain way.

I know in the picture the wing does look awful, rice, etc.... but, i also saw a trans am with the wing while on a road trip a couple months back, and well it does look pretty damn good as the car drives by you. like it looks alot better than you'd think. i think the car in the picture looks more rice because of the flames.

when they are crappy decals or just poorly executed. those flames look horrible. there is a HUGE difference between a good flame job and a bad one... thats a bad one.

That's not a bad flame job, I don't see anything wrong with it. I think that car is a bad *** car and I would love to have it. When you start saying that flames are rice, I don't know what's left. What are we allowed to do visually to our cars that won't make it "rice"?

Seems like everything that makes your car stand out is being called rice on this board. imho that is

Im not dising on all appearance mods or anythig. anyone remember that chick w/ the flamed out Formula -i cant find a link to her site now, but that was a bad-*** flame job. look at the old school rods and the paint jobs they got. I dunno, this car the flames just look cheesy, like its stickers that were applied.
