the hood down toward the bottom, i wanted the pin on ss hood, 300 bucks, but doesnt that use my current hardware, but when i close it, i use pins right? but it operates like a normal hood aside from the two pins in the front? or are there 4 pins, help me
For a good quality paint job (i.e. NOT macco) from a quality shop, I bet it would cost more than $300. In the paint business, you pay for talent. The more you pay, likely the better the job. I say $300 is low.
we got the vettes hood repainted for about 200, but im not sure what they had to do, anyone else have a ruff estimate, cus 300 out of a private garage still seems like a rip, im trying to get ahold of the guy who did my dads vette to get a price
lets just say on my stock red camaro, i got 13 estimates and none were under 500 bucks. I figure for that much i will just wait til i get the whole car painted or look for a stock red ss hood and buy that.
I just got a quote from a custom shop for $1050!! Which is why I am now considering selling my SS hood and staying stock. Anyone who's interested let me know...
lol sweet i got my whole bumper painted for 150 and an awesome paint job perfect match on my custom gold and they quoted me 175 for a hood!!! excellent work too
no the hood is different. Shirl, why are you wanting to ditch your hood? the paint job on it is integrated into the whole car's paint.
Well, I have some custom work on my front bumper that needs to be blended up into the SS hood. (I already have it blended/matched up on the stock hood). It has marblizer, pearls, and metal flake. I wanted to change the hood for a more updated look, but now that I'm seeing the overall cost, I'm having second thoughts.
