  • how dark should i go? window tint

getting windows re-tinted next week. i'm doing the back 5%, but not sure about the sides. i want to do 5% all around, but i'm worried it will be too hard to see out of. i saw an suv there w/ 15% and it didn't look dark enough to me. anyone have opinions or pics of both 15% and 5%? thanks.

I forgot what he has... but scott(red 99SS) has illegal tint. He shoudl be there tonight but he is always driving a POS saturn. So you could see it at night.

but like I said he is wierd he has 99 SS and never drives it. drives a ****ty 92 saturn with like eleventy billion miles on it.

35% is light enough to see in and out, and you shouldnt get picked on too much by the police
I have 5% on the back and at night I can not see anything at all out that window unless it is bright lights
if you go 5% on the side, to be safe you should drive everywhere with your windows down at night, cuz u aint seeing jack

5% looks the best, but the cops will hassle you. And DON'T roll your windows down when passing a cop cuz they don't like that either. Ask me how I know... :D

ok i had 20 on the back and 35% on the side, wasnt satisfied, then i got the sides done 20% was satisfied for a while, bout a month ago i got 5% all the way around and i love it, at day time it is like perfect for the sun protection, dont get me wrong at night it is bad if i am in the country but i would rather deal with it and i haven had a problem with a cop yet

i have 5 percent on back. you cant see out the back at night. you cant see in at all during the day(good becuz of my stereo stuff)

i got 20 percent on the sides and its perfect. during the day you can see the outline of my head but not my face. at night you cant see jack in. you can see out it, but it is hard.

im very happy with it. works out good. the sides are just dark enough.

I have limo all the way around and also a very challenging driveway to park in (I got about 4" on both sides for forgiveness.) Too dark for me at night when I have to park, but love it during the day and with huge SUV shining their lights in my mirrors at night.
