  • Why do people here like the 93-96 Tailights???

Personally, I like the 97+ tailights. I have a 96 Camaro, but I like the amber turn signal MUCH better than the regular "all red" which I currently have.
Also, if firebird owners had a choice, would you have an amber turn signal on your tailights?
I think it stands out much better, and gives a unique look to the car.

I at first liked the 97+ taillights because i thought the amber turn signal went well with the polo green...BUT the 93-96 have a nicer brake light set up, and a bunch of little things like how the reverse light lines up with the body panels. I tried to swap over my tail lights and had to give up b/c of a lack of wireing harness' and actually am glad I didn't do it.

I have a red car...so it just goes better and would personally love to have the 93-96 tails, I got $hitty altezzas on her now, which will have to go soon....I just gotta look around for some tails in good shape....or buy new ones....OR the european style with the amber on the left....very unique

I hated the 3 color lights...it was the first thing I changed on my 2002 within the first 2 months of ownership. The lines look so unproportioned on those things. I love the 93-96 since it all flows together with the lines of the car.

And to me....yellow turn signals in the back makes me think "Japanese car". No thanks, not on an f-body.

My name is 4thGenRS, and I ditched my 97+ taillights. :D

True, but I think the 91-92 T/A had an amber honeycomb turn signal. I thought it look'd good.
I just like the amber signals, makes it easier for the jerk behind you to see where you are going, so he doesn't slam into you (most of the time).

Are we talking about the Camero tail lights or the Firebird tail lights.

I'm not much for the Camero's tail lights, but overall, the back end of a Camero, not counting the spoiler, is better than the Firebirds, in my opinion, because I hate how the bumper on my Firebird sticks out so far. I noticed a 2000 Camero, and its back end just seemed more complete, but I still love my bird all the same.

But...if we're talking about Firebird/Trans Am tail lights, didn't they have the same tail lights from 93-97? You know, the red tailights, and in between the clear reverse lights? And then when they upgraded the body, didn't they make the circular reverse lights, which weren't circular on 93-97s.

I doubt that made much sense, heh. What I mean is, the 93-97's didn't have circular reverse lights on the tail end, did they? Didn't they change them to circles starting in 98?

The 98+ Trans-Am Taillights are completely different from the 93-97. The comb pattern on 93-97's are rectangles not hexagons like on the new ones.

well, one thing I was asking is if firebird/trans am owners had a choice, would you like to have amber turn signals?

i read somewhere that the 93-96 taillights can be set up with sequential blinkers. i thought that might've been kind of "unique", but i have a 97, and yeah, mayb the pre-97 taillights look better, but not enough for me to go droppin the money and time to replace them. not even for the cool sequential turn signal mod. i'm sure it'd get me a ton of girls, and mayb even a couple of friends, but can u put a price on being content in ur laziness?
